Pav bhaji Tikki Burger… Desi style burger prepared using leftover Pavbhaji Masala..

Easy and quick way to prepare burger when you have leftovers like Pavbhaji. I just thought of giving it a try and was a success. Hope you like it too.

Serves: 6 nos.


For Tikki:

  • Boiled potatoes: 2 mashed
  • Pavbhaji Gravy: 1 n 1/2 cups
  • Poha: 1 cup
  • Pav bhaji Masala: 1 tbsp
  • Bread crumbs: 1 cup
  • Chaat masala: 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves: 1 tbsp chopped
  • Salt: 1/2 tsp
  • Oil: 1/2 cup for frying

For Assembling Burger:

  • Burger buns: 6
  • Onions: 1/4 cup slice
  • Tomatoes: 1 sliced
  • Carrots: 1/4 cup julienned
  • Grated cheese: 1/2 cup


  • Mix together mashed potatoes,soaked Poha, Pavbhaji Gravy, Pavbhaji Masala,chaat masala,salt and coriander leaves.
  • Make medium sized tikkis of it and shallow fry till both sides turn golden brown.
  • To assemble burger, place Tikki on the base layer, top it with sliced veggies, add grated cheese on top and close it with the top bun.
  • Serve with Mayo and ketchup.
