Potato Wedges Manchurian

It is a spicy chinese gravy which goes well with chineese fried rice , noodles or Indian rotis.


large potatoes cut into medium wedge size- 2

•corn starch 

pepper powder


spring onions diced

ginger and garlic – finely chopped


red chilli sauce or schezwan sauce ( I used schezwan sauce )

soya sauce

vegetable oil



Put the chopped potatoes in cold wat and keep it aside for 15 minutes.

Heat oil in a kadhai. By that time drain d water from potatoes and in a bowl mix corn starch salt,pepper powder and little oregano and potatoes.

•Deep fry the potato wedges and keep it in a absorbent paper.

•Heat oil in a pan add finely chopped ginger,garlic and green chillies and saute .Add chopped onions and saute for few minutes and add pepper powder, salt and one tsp vinegar.

•Add schezwan or red chilli sauce and soya sauce as per your taste and mix it well.

•Mix one tsp of cornflour in half bowl of water and add to it. Add the fried potato wedges and mix it well.

•Garnish it with spring onion leaves and serve hot with fried rice or Indian Rotis.
