Moongs contain high source of nutrients.They are also a very filling food, high in protein, resistant starch and dietary fiber. This salad is best breakfast or dinner option. Moongs in this recepie is steamed with little water instead of boiling and throwing the water away.

Preparation time: 5 mins

Cooking time: 10 mins

Serves: 2


  • Green moong: 1 cup soaked n steamed
  • Onion: 1 finely chopped
  • Carrot: 1 grated
  • Beetroot: 1/2 grated
  • Black salt: 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice: 1tbsp
  • Apple cider vinegar: 1 tbsp
  • Dried oregano: 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Green chillies: 1 chopped
  • Spring onion leaves: few finely chopped


  • Mix together all the ingredients together in a bowl and serve.
