Kurkure Bhindi or Okra fry is a perfect side dish with rice or roti. Okras are cut into fine strips and marinated with gram flour and few spices and deep fried to crispy fritters.

  • Okra / ladysfinger: 10 nos.
  • Besan/ gram flour: 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder: 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Amchur powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Salt: for taste
  • Oil: for deep frying


  • Wash and clean okras.
  • Cut the okras into half vertically, remove the seeds and cut it into thin strips.
  • In a bowl mix together okra strips with rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, deep fry the marinated okras till golden brown and crispy.
